Happy Birthday Michael Knight (Sr.)

Today is the "official" birthday of Michael Long, who became the first Michael Knight.



Born on January 9th, 1949 (according to his tombstone in the episode A Good Knight's Work, he turns 61 years old today.

Will we see him again? Time will tell...

Happy Birthday, Patricia McPherson!

Many Happy Returns to Patricia McPherson, the one and only Bonnie Barstow, who celebrates her birthday today! Knight Rider fans the world over will join the Knight Rider Archive in wishing her a great day!

Knight Rider trivia buffs will know that it was actually Bonnie's birthday three days ago (November 24th). Both character and actress share the same birthstone: Topaz. That's a kind of Topaz Connection.

On This Day: 27th October, 1997

Twelve years ago today saw the first airing of the fan-favourite Team Knight Rider episode K.R.O.. TKR are called in to locate a downed aircraft, and learn that it was carrying the "Knight Reformulation One," a Series-1 Knight Foundation vehicle that was planned to replace Michael Knight and K.I.T.T. The virtually indestructible Ferrari escapes and sets about freeing its unstable driver, Martin Jantzen (played by Bill Bumiller) from custody so that they can extract revenge on the Foundation.

On This Day: 6th October, 1997

It's twelve years since the first Knight Rider spin-off to go to series hit the air. On this day in 1997, Team Knight Rider debuted with the episode Fallen Nation. TV Guide ran the following synopsis:

"Five super-intelligent vehicles are driven by five highly-trained operatives who take over when conventional law enforcement agencies fail. In the opener, Jenny tests her loyalty to a former marine commander embroiled in an anti-government plot."
